It’s time to kick these back into regular production. As you may have seen, I took a bit of a break in writing these as I wrapped up the year in review post.
I think it’s a good a time as any to start them back up again. This post focusses purely on Financials.
It’s time for me to actually write my year in review for 2017. I’ve been doing this for some time now and my previous year in reviews are below. As always, these reports are for me, but if you benefit from them, then I ask you to leave a comment on this post 🙂 it helps me keep going.
Last week I published September’s transparency report a little late due a lot of reasons. Today I’m publishing the 19th of these reports covering October’s activity.
In this report I’m covering a lot more about the marketing side of things (and whether it’s worthwhile) as well as WordCamp sponsorships!
Whoops. What happened here then. September absolutely rocketed by, and I didn’t publish this report. Given I can talk more about things in the October 2017 report, I’ll be going into detail there. For the sanity of my OCD, read on for September’s figures
Phew, I’m getting slower with publishing these transparency reports. Â The start of September has been busy for me since I’ve been moving out of an apartment and had limited access to the internet. However I’m back with the seventeenth report on what’s been going on with Epic Plugins, Epic Themes and Zero BS CRM.
It’s that time again. I’m actually almost a week later publishing this transparency report than usual. They take a fair bit of time to put together and as I covered in last months report, I tend to flip between what I’m trying to accomplish through sharing these updates.
It’s time for another transparency report. Since writing the last report there’s been quite a few changes in various tools that I was using to chart the growth of Epic Plugins and Epic Themes.
As always this report will follow the same structure as the last one. Â A reminder though, I write these for me, so I can keep track of where things are up to and what I’ve been working on and plan to work on.

Onto year 2 of these transparency reports. When it’s time to write one of these I still get surprised at just how fast the time is going.

Wow. It’s been a year that i’ve been writing these reports. Time really does fly. I thought what would be useful in this report is to show the years totals as well as the usual figures. March has been a busy month, primarily driven by the massive new release coming of Zero BS CRM (launching in the next few days)
Happy Valentines month everyone. February has flown by. The end of February also brought with it the end of my two-month period of being in Thailand. So it’s back to Sunny England in the United Kingdom. There’s so much I want to cover in this update….
It’s that time of month again. Time to go through the transparency report covering the income reports as well as giving an overview of what’s been happening with Epic Plugins and Epic Themes. The title of this months report is ‘Living in Thailand’…
Wow. 2016 is over. It’s been a great year. There’s been so much going on that I didn’t write my ‘year in review’. This is partly due to the fact I’ve been doing these transparency reports. But also partly due to December just being crazy busy for me.
Last month, there was quite a lot of change. It’s been the first full month of epic plugins and epic themes being under a subscription based pricing model.
What. What is this? Another transparency report for November 2016 being written before the end of November? What… well the main reason for yet another early report is so I can clear my plate for the 1st December 2016 launch of the Epic Blogger Theme.
Month 7 of the transparency report. If you’ve emailed me in October you’ll have got my out of office. I spent most of the month in Hong Kong and Japan (7th to the 25th October). Through doing this I stuck my out of office on and directed support to the new support inbox.
It’s that time of the month again. My 6th transparency report. Wow half a year since I started to write these has passed. It’s gone so fast.
Welcome to the 5th Transparency Report here at Epic Plugins. Note to self, each time I write one of these I think jeez. It’s been another month, and the last post on this blog was the last transparency report. #mustdosomemorebloggingonhere.
So, yet another month rockets by in what feels like the blink of an eye. This is different through. I sit here writing this transparency report on the first Monday after quitting my job.
Wow, a whole month has passed and it’s flown by. It’s time for another transparency report. I’m writing this now as July will be another challenging month ahead for me.
OK. It’s time for my second transparency report. It’s crazy how it’s been a month since I wrote the last one. Since then I’ve been doing a lot of work on refining the sales dashboard tool I use internally to track the sales.
It’s taken me ages to commit to writing this type of monthly report. Ages. Why? I’ve always been scared that it comes across as bragging or shouting hey look at me, things are selling.. Â I don’t want to become ‘that guy’ or be like the image below
