Epic Plugins. Transparency reports

You may have remembered that I posted a while back an opinion poll about whether people would find transparency reports interesting for epic plugins.

Well, the results are in, which I’ll share below. Even if these results were the other way around, I think I would still have come to the same conclusion. That writing a monthly transparency report will help. It’s more of a post for myself to refer back to but if there’s things you can learn from these specific blog posts them all the better.

So that’s a pretty astounding result 81% for being open about how we are doing, what we are doing and what’s working (and what’s not).

From this, the first thing to put in place is generally what will I write about in these updates. I want to cover the following areas broadly

• Product and sales update
• Team news
• Anything else

It’s quite a step deciding to publish for the world to see these transparency / revenue reports but it will help me keep on track to my targets.

I’ll be starting the reports from May 2016 with the first report covering the full year (our Company year runs from 1 May to 30 April).

I’ll be putting this together over the next couple of weeks, but if there’s anything you think is useful to include in these type of reports please do leave a comment below.
